The graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Dentistry was on 30th June 2013 Sunday, at 11 o’clock and took place at the University of Szeged Klebersberg Library.
There are ongoing negotiations about the cooperation of institutions meaning that from this year’s Fall students from Saudi-Arabia are coming to different faculties of the University of Szeged. On 3rd June a four-member delegation visited the University of Szeged – they came from the Vienna Saudi Cultural Bureau, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Higher Education and the most outstanding university, the King Saud University of Riyadh.
Dr. Michel FAGES lecturer at the Prosthodontics Department (UFR Odontologie, Université Montpellier 1, Montpellier, France) successfully defended his PhD thesis on 11th of June 2013 at the University of Szeged in the Clinical Medical Sciences Doctoral School, Research in Dental Medicine Program.
Professor Shedlin, as a clinical anthropologist of the University of New York taught at the Faculty of Dentistry in Szeged for a semester.
On April 26th a two-day scientific conference began in the University Library, organized by the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Szeged. 500 participants registered for the event, including participants from France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States.
Between April 3rd and 7th 2013, as part the Lifelong Learning ERASMUS Program, Prof. Dr. Katalin NAGY and Dr. Kinga TURZÓ visited Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM).
Michele Goldzieher Shedlin, PhD, Professor, NYU College of Nursing, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to research and lecture in Hungary at the University of Szeged during academic year 2012-13.
From 15 to 18 January 2013 Katalin Nagy, DDS. PhD, dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Szeged, was invited to the International conference of the Iranian Assosiation of Prosthodontists as a guest lecturer.
