The traditional event of the Faculty was held on 26 March 2015 organized by the Hungarian Students’ Union (HÖK) for all of our students studying in the English program.

The Faculty of Dentistry has the honour and pleasure to organise, jointly with ADEE, the 2015 annual international dental education conference entitled Communication and Interaction in Dentistry in Szeged, on 26-29 August, 2015.

The 11th of November is an illustrious day in the calendar of our University: this is the Day of the University of Szeged. Every year we honor the memory of the foundation of the University with a traditional ceremony.

Three students of the University of Szeged are the first in Hungary to be official members of The European Dental Students` Association (EDSA) in 2015. The main reason for joining is the fact that Szeged will host the 2^nd 2015 meeting of the EDSA, as well as the 2015 ADEE meeting. This is the reason why the three of us have been asked to participate in EDSA meetings in order to obtain knowledge about the program and general organization of such meetings as well as to learn more about the EDSA itself.

The awards of the competition called "For the International Development of Higher Education 2014" were presented at the conference “Internationalization of Higher Education in Hungary”. Two units of the University of Szeged - the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Szeged and the Klebelsberg Library of the University of Szeged – were also recognized for their work and program performed for foreign students.

Due to the great success, SZTE Confucius Institute welcomes everyone to join our Mahjong course in 2015 as well!

The University of Szeged and its all faculties take part at the 15^th EDUCATIO International Education Fair in Budapest. The exhibition is organized between 22nd and 24th of January 2015 in SYMA Event and Congress Centre.

Szeged is among the 10 best university cities in Europe according to Condé Nast Traveler portal.

QS Quacquarelli Symonds has launched a new ranking of universities in Emerging Europe and Central Asia with the region’s top 100 universities. Six Hungarian universities were added to the list, it is an excellent result that the University of Szeged is ranked on the 22nd place.

For epidemiological reasons and for your own health, the management of the university advise students not to travel to countries involved in the current Ebola outbreak (Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Sierra Leone)in the near future or during winter break period.

Dr. Gábor Braunitzer, lecturer of the Faculty of Dentistry visited New York University to strengthen the scientific cooperation between the two institutions.

There are ongoing negotiations about the cooperation of institutions meaning that from this year’s Fall students from Saudi-Arabia are coming to different faculties of the University of Szeged. On 3^rd June a four-member delegation visited the University of Szeged – they came from the Vienna Saudi Cultural Bureau, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Higher Education and the most outstanding university, the King Saud University of Riyadh.

The graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Dentistry was on 30^th June 2013 Sunday, at 11 o’clock and took place at the University of Szeged Klebersberg Library.

Professor Shedlin, as a clinical anthropologist of the University of New York taught at the Faculty of Dentistry in Szeged for a semester.

Dr. Michel FAGES lecturer at the Prosthodontics Department (UFR Odontologie, Université Montpellier 1, Montpellier, France) successfully defended his PhD thesis on 11th of June 2013 at the University of Szeged in the Clinical Medical Sciences Doctoral School, Research in Dental Medicine Program.

On April 26th a two-day scientific conference began in the University Library, organized by the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Szeged. 500 participants registered for the event, including participants from France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States.

Between April 3^rd and 7^th 2013, as part the Lifelong Learning ERASMUS Program, Prof. Dr. Katalin NAGY and Dr. Kinga TURZÓ visited Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM).

From 15 to 18 January 2013 Katalin Nagy, DDS. PhD, dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Szeged, was invited to the International conference of the Iranian Assosiation of Prosthodontists as a guest lecturer.

The ceremonial session of the Senate of the University of Szeged began at 11 o’ clock on Saturday, 10th November, in the congress hall of the Attila József Study and Information Center. Gábor Szabó, rector of the university, pointed out in his speech that the University of Szeged is an institution of high national and international reputation, and that therefore it is important that both the students and their teachers persist, even in these difficult times.
