„The spring conference in Szeged looks back on a decade-long history, however, the character of the event has changed a lot. The original aim of these conferences was to provide a platform for the Hungarian clinician colleagues to exchange their ideas, and for that purpose we still organize various events, but the main purpose of the spring event now is to invite world-renowned representatives of our profession, who have shaped dentistry as we know it today.” - said Professor Katalin Nagy, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, before the opening ceremony of the conference „Perspectives in Perio-Implantology.”

The keynote speaker of the conference was Dennis Tarnow, professor of the Columbia University (NY), who is considered to be a living legend in dentistry. Tarnow visited Hungary for the first time in his life upon the invitation of the Faculty of Dentistry.

 

„It is also a great opportunity to gain continuing education credits. Furthermore, the programme involves a special course for dental assistants „- continued the Dean, who also explained that the conference focused on periodontology and implantology, the most rapidly developing areas of dentistry, which, leading dentistry out of the era of dentures, offer comfortable, esthetic, and increasingly accessible prosthetic solutions.

 

„The conference, however, is not merely about the profession per se. The ultimate goal is an ever-better patient care.”- summarized Katalin Nagy.
