In our department the education has several levels.

Pregraduallywe have lectures and practices for students of all five years in Hungarian and in English language too.In the first four semesters our students have to learn the basics of dental anatomy, types of dental instruments and materials and the way to use them. In the third year in the practice laboratory we prepare them for treating real patients, in the fifth semester focusing on Cariology, in the sixth concentrating on Endodontics. After proper acquirement of theoretical and practical knowledge they have to pass the preliminary examination. In the last four semesters the responsibility of the students is increasing while they have to treat patients who have volunteered for clinical practices instead of plastic or extracted teeth.After fulfilling the requirements of the fourth year the students have to participate in a one month long clinical practice which includes operative dentistry as well.

Two resident dentists and two PhD students as participants of our postgradual education program are helping our work.We participate as speakers in the CE (Continuing education) courses, helping our colleges to becomefamiliar with the up-to-date improvements of dental science.

Of course for the previously mentioned tasks we have to keep ourselves up-to-date as well, that’s why we are regular visitors of Hungarian and international dental conferences and courses.
