Oral Medicine

Oral and maxillo-facial medicine is the specialty of dentistry that sits at the interface between oral surgery and periodontology, with dermatology being the branch of medicine that is closely related to it.

The ward treats patients with oral symptoms of systemic diseases, benign, pre-cancer disorders, and malignant tumours.

Here belong
  • various disorders as inflamed mucous membranes and infections (bacterial, viral, and fungal diseases)
  • physical, chemical, and iatrogenic harms
  • immunological syndromes, allergical skin and mouth disorders
  • mouth symptoms of the organs and their diseases
  • skin and mouth diseases of the orofacial region
  • benign tumours, tumour-like conditions and cysts
  • pre-cancer disorders, conditions, and white lesions
  • malignant tumours

and the treatment and care of symptoms of the oral cavity caused by some other disease, as well as disease prevention.

Depending on the type of the disease present, therapy may include medications or surgery.

We apply specific methods in carrying out surgery therapy. We perform thermal surgery (cryotherapy and freezing, laser therapy) to remove abnormal areas.
